This recipe was slightly modified from theclothesmakethegirl.com blog. There is less beef than the original recipe. 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil 1 cup chopped onion 4 cloves of garlic (pressed or chopped) 1-1 1/4 pound of extra lean ground beef 1 teaspoon dried oregano 2 Tablespoons chile powder 2 Tablespoons ground cumin 1 1/2 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa 1 teaspoon ground allspice 1 teaspoon salt 1, 6 oz can tomato paste 1, 14.5 oz can fire-roasted, chopped tomatoes 1, 14.5 oz can beef broth 1 cup water Directions:
Heat coconut oil and saute onion until translucent. Stir in garlic and ground beef. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients, then add to the beef. Stir until well-combined. Add wet ingredients and stir until combined. Let simmer for AT LEAST two hours.
